Nuclear magnetic resonance and surface-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry-based metabolome profiling of urine samples from kidney cancer patients

چکیده

Kidney cancer is one of the most frequently diagnosed cancers urinary tract in world. Despite significant advances kidney treatment, no urine specific biomarker currently used to guide therapeutic interventions. In an effort address this knowledge gap, metabolic profiling samples from 50 patients with and healthy volunteers was undertaken using high-resolution proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H NMR) silver-109 nanoparticle enhanced steel target laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (109AgNPET LDI MS). Twelve potential biomarkers were identified quantified one-dimensional (1D) 1H NMR metabolomics. Seven spectral features which differed significantly abundance (p < 0.05) between also detected 109AgNPET-based (LDI This work provides a framework expand discovery that could be as useful diagnostic or prognostic progression

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Metabolomic Profiling of Mouse Kidney, Urine and Serum Following Renal Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury

BACKGROUND Ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) is the most common cause of acute kidney injury (AKI). Its pathophysiology remains unclear. Metabolomics is dedicated to identify metabolites involved in (patho)physiological changes of integrated living systems. Here, we performed 1H-Nuclear Magnetic Resonance metabolomics using urine, serum and kidney samples from a mouse model of renal I/R. METHODS Ren...

Direct identification of urinary tract pathogens from urine samples by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry.

Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) has been suggested as a reliable method for bacterial identification from cultures. Direct analysis of clinical samples might increase the usefulness of this method, shortening the time for microorganism identification. We compared conventional methods for the diagnosis of urinary tract infections (UTIs)...

Tea Identification through Surface-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Mass Spectrometry

We have applied surface-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (SALDI-MS) using titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2 NPs) as the matrix and captopril (CAP) as internal standard for the determination of the concentrations of theanine and four catechins—catechin, ()-epigallocatechin (EGC), ()-epicatechin gallate (ECG), and ()-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Under the optimal cond...

Laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry on porous silicon for metabolome analyses: influence of surface oxidation.

Laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (LDI-MS) on porous silicon is a promising analytical strategy for the rapid detection of metabolites in biological matrices. We show that both oxidized and unoxidized porous silicon surfaces are useful in detecting protonated/deprotonated molecules from compounds when analyzed in mixtures. We demonstrate the feasibility of using this technique for t...
